Standing Committees  The Development Committee helps plan and coordinate fundraising events for the organization, specifically the Role Model Gala.
The Communications Committee promotes the organization to its members, the corporate community and the general public in concert with the goals of the board and office.
| The Membership Committee plans monthly general membership meetings, new member orientations (called JumpStarts), and all other member social and professional development events. The committee meets each month to plan events and discuss new ways to engage and recruit YLC members.

The Finance Committee oversees procedures necessary to conduct the financial affairs of YLC. The committee is comprised of the YLC Treasurer, as chairman, and at least three other members of the YLC Board of Directors.
- Historical Committee
The Historical Committee's purpose is to chronicle the entire history of the Young Leadership Council through a dedicated committee comprised of YLC alums and current members. This data is used to provide a historical perspective for future strategic planning.
- Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee is responsible for all YLC personnel matters and oversees areas such as staff performance reviews and job descriptions. The committee is made up of the Secretary & Counsel, as chairman, President, Past President, President-Elect, the Treasurer and two other Board members.
The Projects Committee provides support in managing overall performance and achievement of existing YLC Projects.
The Diversity Committee develops ideas to continue to diversify the YLC's membership to represent all aspects of our city, including gender, race and ethnicity, neighborhood of residence within the metro area, profession/industry respentation, etc.
A key leader of the YLC once said, "the biggest project the YLC has is running the YLC." This is a very true statement and it is our Board of Directors and Standing Committees as well as our tireless staff who make all that happen.
